Hi there! Welcome to the first CanDo demonstration!
CanDoDemo must remain in the same directory as the DemoMaterials
directory.
Run CanDoDemo from the WorkBench by clicking its icon or
run it from CLI. Make sure the CanDoDemo1 is in your current
directory.
You will need ruby 12 and 15 in your FONTS: directory to run this demo.
These come from you 1.3 Workbench disk.
Some last minute notes:
This interactive demo was put together using CanDo. The example
applications are meant only as examples. CanDo is not limited
to these specific things. This demo shows CanDo's control panel
but does not specifically detail the extent of CanDo and its
interface.
We noticed that a couple the examples in this demo are not self
explanatory.
Phone & Address Filer - Example for Fields
Click on "Clear" to erase the text in all the fields.
Don't forget to check out the menus with the right
mouse button.
Sound Sequence Builder - Example for Sounds
The list of sounds on the left can be played by highlighting one
and then clicking on the "Preview Sound" button. By double clicking
on a sound in the left list you can add it to the list on the right.
The right list is the sequence you are building. You can play the
sequence by clicking on the "Play" button.
Powerpanel
This will look for SYS:UTILITIES/CALCULATOR and SYS:UTILITIES/CLOCK
when you click on the calculator and clock buttons. (note the path
for the above files)
