Episode: Tomorrow Is Yesterday Air date: 01/26/67 Star date: 3113.2 The Enterprise is thrown back in time to 20th Century Earth after a close encounter with a black star, and is reported as a UFO by an Air Force pilot. Episode: Court-Martial Air date: 02/02/67 Star date: 2947.3 Kirk is charged with negligence in the death of an Enterprise crewman, but is later acquitted when Spock discovers that the crewman isn't really dead. Episode: The Return of the Archons Air date: 02/09/67 Star date: 3156.2 The Enterprise crew beams down to a planet where the zombie-like inhabitants are controlled by a super computer known as Landru. Episode: Space Seed Air date: 02/16/67 Star date: 3141.9 The Enterprise finds the S.S. Botany Bay, a 1990's sleeper ship carrying a group of genetically bred supermen led by Khan Noonian Singh. Episode: A Taste of Armageddon Air date: 02/23/67 Star date: 3192.1 After the Enterprise is declared a victim of an interplanetary war fought only in the memory banks of opposing computers, Kirk and Spock force the warring planets to face the destruction of real war or settle their dispute. Episode: This Side of Paradise Air date: 03/02/67 Star date: 3417.3 All of the Enterprise crew, except Captain Kirk, are exposed to spores that induce a feeling of euphoria and a desire to remain on the planet. Episode: The Devil in the Dark Air date: 03/09/67 Star date: 3916.1 A mining colony on Janus VI is faced with death and destruction caused by a rock-like creature, the Horta, which turns out to be a mother trying to protect her eggs from the miners' equipment. Episode: Errand of Mercy Air date: 03/23/67 Star date: 3198.4 The Organians intervene in a conflict between the Federation and the Klingons by imposing a peace treaty that will be enforced by the power of the Organians' minds. Episode: The Alternative Factor Air date: 03/30/67 Star date: 3087.6 The Enterprise finds Lazarus on a deserted planet, and soon discovers that he is in a life-and-death struggle with an evil duplicate from a parallel anti-matter universe. Episode: The City on the Edge of Forever Air date: 04/06/67 Star date: 3134.0 After an accidental overdose of the stimulant cordazine, Dr. McCoy jumps through a time portal on a deserted planet and ends up on Earth in the 1930's. Episode: Operation: Annihilate Air date: 04/13/67 Star date: 3287.2 While investigating the death of Kirk's brother and other colonists on Deneva, Spock is attacked by a flying creature that attaches itself to its victim's nervous system.
Season Two Episode: Amok Time Air date: 09/15/67 Star date: 3372.7 Under the stress of his first "pon far," Spock returns to Vulcan to wed his childhood betrothed, only to find that she has chosen another and forces Spock into a ceremonial fight to the death with Kirk. Episode: Who Mourns for Adonis Air date: 09/22/67 Star date: 3468.1 The Enterprise crew is trapped on a planet by the Greek god Apollo, who wants humans to stay on the planet to worship him. Episode: The Changeling Air date: 09/29/67 Star date: 3451.9 The Enterprise encounters Nomad, a small mutated Earth probe that has been destroying planets in its path in an attempt to sterilize the "imperfect" life forms on them. Episode: Mirror, Mirror Air date: 10/06/67 Star date: N/A While transporting during an ion storm, Kirk, McCoy, Scott, and Uhura are switched with evil counterparts in a parallel universe, and it is up to the parallel Spocks to get their respective crew members back. Episode: The Apple Air date: 10/13/67 Star date: 3715.0 The seeming paradise found by the Enterprise on Gamma Trianguli VI is really controlled by a computer called Vaal, which tries to destroy the Enterprise to prevent intervention from the outside. Episode: The Doomsday Machine Air date: 10/20/67 Star date: 4204.9 A giant robot ship wandering through the galaxy destroying everything in its path cripples the starship Constellation and then turns on the Enterprise. Episode: Catspaw Air date: 10/27/67 Star date: 3018.2 The Enterprise finds a haunted castle inhabited by tiny aliens who have transformed themselves into a witch and a warlock and imprisoned some of the Enterprise crew. Episode: I, Mudd Air date: 11/03/67 Star date: 4513.3 An android masquerading as an Enterprise crew member hijacks the ship and delivers it to Harry Mudd, who has developed a race of beautiful android women. Episode: Metamorphosis Air date: 11/10/67 Star date: 3219.4 The shuttlecraft Galileo, carrying Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Federation Commissioner Nancy Hedford, is drawn to a small planet by a mysterious cloud, which turns out to be a creature that has been caring for shipwrecked warp drive inventor Zefram Cochrane. Episode: Journey to Babel Air date: 11/17/67 Star date: 3842.3 The Enterprise is transporting delegates to a Federation conference, when Spock's father, Ambassador Sarek, becomes ill and requires a transfusion from Spock. Episode: Friday's Child Air date: 12/01/67 Star date: 3497.2 Attempting to negotiate a mining treaty on Capella IV, the Enterprise crew becomes involved in a Klingon-instigated civil war and must save the pregnant wife of the planet's leader. Episode: The Deadly Years Air date: 12/08/67 Star date: 3478.2 Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Scott undergo accelerated aging after being exposed to radiation on a planet, but Chekov isn't affected and Dr. McCoy must find out why in order to cure the others. Episode: Obsession Air date: 12/15/67 Star date: 3619.2 Kirk is obsessed with trying to kill a cloud-like vampire creature similar to one that killed Kirk's commanding officer, Captain Garrovick, 11 years earlier. Episode: Wolf in the Fold Air date: 12/22/67 Star date: 3614.9 Scott is accused of the brutal murder of several women who were really killed by a non-corporeal creature known in Earth's past as Jack the Ripper. Episode: The Trouble with Tribbles Air date: 12/29/67 Star date: 4523.3 When the Enterprise stops at the K-7 space station to pick up a shipment of a new type of grain, trader Cyrano Jones introduces the Enterprise crew to tribbles, cute furry creatures that multiply so rapidly that they almost fill the Enterprise to its seams with fur. Episode: Whom Gods Destroy Air date: 01/03/68 Star date: 5718.3 Kirk and Spock are captured by escaped lunatics in an asylum on Elba II, who try to trick Kirk into beaming them aboard the Enterprise. Episode: The Gamesters of Triskelion Air date: 01/05/68 Star date: 3211.7 While surveying an uncharted planet, Kirk, Uhura, and Chekov are transported to the planet's surface, where they are forced to be gladiators in combats staged for the pleasure of unseen aliens. Episode: A Piece of the Action Air date: 01/12/68 Star date: 4598.0 The Enterprise crew investigates the progress made by a planet visited by a Federation ship over 100 years earlier, and find that a book on the Chicago mobs of 1930's Earth has served as the role model for the planet's development. Episode: The Immunity Syndrome Air date: 01/19/68 Star date: 4307.1 The Enterprise is sent to investigate a giant amoeba-like creature that has killed all life on Starbase 6 and the Vulcan-crewed starship Intrepid, and Spock penetrates the amoeba in a shuttlecraft. Episode: A Private Little War Air date: 02/02/68 Star date: 4211.4 The Enterprise crew becomes involved in a civil war on Neural, and must arm the tribe of an old friend of Kirk's in order to maintain a balance of power with the opposing tribe that is receiving arms from the Klingons. Episode: Return to Tomorrow Air date: 02/09/68 Star date: 4768.3 On a long-dead planet, the Enterprise finds three disembodied entities who ask for assistance in constructing android bodies for their brains, but one of the entities tries to steal Spock's body instead. Episode: Patterns of Force Air date: 02/16/68 Star date: 2534.0 On a routine visit to the planet where a Federation historian has been stationed, the Enterprise finds that the planet's culture has been patterned after Nazi Germany. Episode: By Any Other Name Air date: 02/23/68 Star date: 4657.5 The Enterprise crew is captured by a group of Kelvans from the Andromeda Galaxy, who are scouting this galaxy for possible colonization. Episode: The Omega Glory Air date: 03/01/68 Star date: N/A The Enterprise crew finds the empty starship Exeter in orbit around Omega IV, and beams down to discover that the Exeter's captain has provided advanced weapons to the Kohms in their battle against the Yangs. Episode: The Ultimate Computer Air date: 03/08/68 Star date: 4729.4 The Enterprise is fitted for tests of an advanced computer containing the erratic brain patterns of its inventor, Dr. Richard Daestrom, and begins a real attack on other starships during what is supposed to be a war game. Episode: Bread and Circuses Air date: 03/15/68 Star date: 4040.7 The Enterprise crew encounters the abandoned S.S. Beagle in orbit around Planet 892-IV, and beams down to find that its captain has introduced a Roman-like gladiator culture to the planet. Episode: Assignment: Earth Air date: 03/29/68 Star date: N/A The Enterprise returns to the 20th Century to learn how Earth survived its atomic age, and runs into Gary Seven, a human who has been raised in a distant galaxy to help the Earth overcome its self-destructive tendencies.
Season Three Episode: Spock's Brain Air date: 09/20/68 Star date: 5431.4 A young woman appears on the Enterprise bridge, kidnaps Spock, and takes him to her home planet, where his brain is removed in order to run the controls used to keep the planet's 10,000 year old machinery operating. Episode: The Enterprise Incident Air date: 09/27/68 Star date: 5031.3 Kirk, in Romulan disguise, and Spock play spies as they try to steal the cloaking device from a Romulan ship commanded by a proud female captain. Episode: The Paradise Syndrome Air date: 10/04/68 Star date: 4842.6 While trying to alter the path of an asteroid on a collision course with a planet containing a culture similar to that of the American Indians, Kirk suffers amnesia and marries one of the planet's young women. Episode: And the Children Shall Lead Air date: 10/11/68 Star date: 5029.5 The Enterprise crew finds that all of the adults on a distant colony have died and the children seem completely unconcerned, but later learn that a noncorporeal being called Gorgan has been controlling their minds. Episode: Is There in Truth No Beauty? Air date: 10/18/68 Star date: 5630.7 A blind telepath named Miranda Jones comes aboard the Enterprise with a Medusan ambassador, the sight of whom can make anyone, even the curious Spock, insane. Episode: Spectre of the Gun Air date: 10/25/68 Star date: 4385.3 When the Enterprise enters an uncharted sector of the galaxy, the bridge crew is transported to a deserted planet by unknown aliens and forced to play the part of the losing gunfighters in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Episode: Day of the Dove Air date: 11/01/68 Star date: N/A An alien creature that survives on the hatred of others manipulates the crews of the Enterprise and a Klingon cruiser into bloody hand-to-hand combat, but Kirk and the Klingon commander refuse to go along. Episode: For the World Is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky Air date: 11/08/68 Star date: 5476.3 The Enterprise goes to investigate an asteroid on a collision course with a Federation planet, and discovers that the asteroid is really a hollow sleeper ship where generations of inhabitants have been travelling to a new home planet. Episode: The Tholian Web Air date: 11/15/68 Star date: 5693.4 While searching for the missing starship Defiant, the Enterprise is trapped in a force field web constructed by a Tholian ship, and Kirk is trapped in a rip in space between two alternate universes. Episode: Plato's Stepchildren Air date: 11/22/68 Star date: 5784.0 After answering a false distress call, the Enterprise crew is held against their wills on a planet ruled by aliens with psychokenetic powers until the aliens' dwarf jester helps the crew members to escape. Episode: Wink of an Eye Air date: 11/29/68 Star date: 5710.5 Kirk is kidnapped by the Scalosians, a race with a highly-accelerated metabolic rate, to be bred to Scalosian women in an attempt to save the planet's dying population. Episode: The Empath Air date: 12/06/68 Star date: 5121.0 Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are trapped on a planet where they are used by a race of advanced aliens to test the level of compassion of a mute empath named Gem. Episode: Elaan of Troyius Air date: 12/20/68 Star date: 4372.5 The Enterprise must transport a spoiled brat princess of the planet Troyius to the site of her politically-motivated marriage to an official of her planet's former enemies. Episode: Let That Be Your Last Battlefield Air date: 01/10/69 Star date: 5730.2 In trying to recover a stolen shuttlecraft, the Enterprise is caught in the middle of the personal battle of the last two survivors of the planet Cheron, one of whom is white on the left side and black on the right, while the other is black on the left side and white on the right. Episode: The Mark of Gideon Air date: 01/17/69 Star date: 5423.4 When he attempts to transport down to the planet Gideon, Kirk finds himself aboard a completely deserted Enterprise, and later discovers that he is inside a replica on Gideon, a planet suffering overpopulation. Episode: The Way to Eden Air date: 02/21/69 Star date: 5832.3 When it tracks down a stolen ship, the Enterprise finds a band of space hippies who have their minds set on reaching the mythical planet Eden, even if it means hijacking the Enterprise. Episode: The Cloudminders Air date: 02/28/69 Star date: 5818.4 When the Enterprise goes to the planet Ardana for zenite, a substance needed to combat a botanical plague, the crew find themselves in the middle of a conflict between the ruling class, who live in a city in the clouds, and the working class, who live in underground caverns. Episode: All Our Yesterdays Air date: 03/14/69 Star date: 5943.7 When the Enterprise goes to rescue any survivors of Sarpeidon, whose sun is about to go nova, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy inadvertently pass through a time portal and become trapped in different time periods of the planet's past.
